Colin MacAdam and the late Ed Hilton, both of whom played pivotal roles in varsity sport at ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ®, were inducted into the PEI Sports Hall of Fame during a ceremony at ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® on July 11, 2026.

V-P Administration and Finance Tim Walker emailed members of the campus community on July 6, 2026, to update them on the proposed high-performance training facility at the ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre.

Head coach Mike Peterson has announced six new additions to the ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® Panthers' cross country program, adding depth, speed, and serious upside to the trails. 

The ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® extends congratulations to Sarah Forsythe, a standout student-athlete and goaltender with the Panthers women’s hockey program, on being named ¾«Í¯ÓûŮ’s recipient of the 2026 AUS PepsiCo James Bayer Memorial Scholarship Award.

¾«Í¯ÓûŮ’s Department of Athletics and Recreation celebrated the 2025–26 season at the annual ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® Panther Celebration – Athletic Awards Gala on Friday, March 27, recognizing outstanding student-athletes who have excelled in sport, the classroom, and the community.

¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® updates the on- and off-campus community about the recent consultation held regarding the development of a high-performance training facility at the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre.

¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® Curling student-athletes Jack MacFadyen and Ella Lenentine earned the PEI Mixed Doubles title at the Summerside Curling Club on February 22, 2026. They will proudly represent PEI at the Curling Canada national championships in Surrey, British Columbia from March 21–27, 2026.

The ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® Panther Source for Sports Athletes of the Week for February 23–March 1 are Erin Cabaday (women’s hockey) and Cole Larkin (men’s hockey).

The ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® Panthers are looking forward to semifinal games and competition at home and on the road. 

The ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® extends heartfelt congratulations to alumnus and former varsity athlete Brett Gallant who captured a gold medal in men’s curling for Team Canada at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, on February 21.
