This contribution supports the Confederacy of Mainland Mi鈥檏maq in expanding its successful Nuji Kelo鈥檛oqatijik Aquatic Guardians Network to include an Aquatics Division. The goals of the Aquatics Division Guardians Program are to further build capacity within the organization, expand community engagement, and facilitate the transfer of Indigenous traditional knowledge systems between Mi鈥檏maw knowledge keepers/Elders and youth, using a Etuaptmumk (Two-eyed seeing) approach to all work carried out.
