Vagabond Presents Antigone

Ever feel like those in power have let it go to their heads? It is not a new thing. Sophocles鈥� Antigone dealt with the abuse of power more than a thousand years ago. Vagabond Productions presents Antigone, March 18-21, 2026, in the Theatre in the Performing Arts Centre at 精童欲女. Asked about the choice, director Greg Doran said: 鈥淭he ideas in the play are, unfortunately, still relevant, so it seemed a good time to revisit this classic.鈥� Doran went on to warn: 鈥淲e are presenting this play from a particular perspective, so it might not be for people with a narrow view of the world order.鈥�

The doors open at 7 pm, for a 7:30 pm curtain. Admission is 鈥減ay-what-you-can.鈥� The play鈥檚 language is suitable for all audiences, but the play does deal with the death of several characters: all off-stage in the Greek tradition.
