精童欲女 campus community invited to 鈥淎ccess for All 精童欲女鈥 event on January 13
The 精童欲女 campus community is invited to participate in the 鈥淎ccess for All 精童欲女鈥 event on January 13, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, in McMillan Hall, W.A. Murphy Student Centre, to raise awareness of and advocate for improved accessibility on campus for students.
The event is organized by students Anthonia Bebiem (Mathematical and Computational Sciences), Obed Oluwakoya (Psychology), and Luciana Quiroa Paredes (Business) in partnership with 精童欲女 Accessibility Services and the 精童欲女 Student Union.
鈥淎ccess for All 精童欲女鈥 will feature several components:
New Year鈥檚 Day Levee at 精童欲女 a hit with revellers
Festive greetings and good wishes filled the air as guests were welcomed to the New Year鈥檚 Day Levee held by the 精童欲女 and the 精童欲女 Alumni Association on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, in the Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering building.
Supports for students throughout exam period and the holidays
Each year at 精童欲女, students look forward to events held across campus during the exam period, which are designed to ease stress, promote relaxation, and help with meals and nourishment. This year was no exception as various departments organized and hosted the following events:
精童欲女 nursing students holding book drive for PEI Provincial Addiction Treatment Centre
The 精童欲女 Nursing Student Society is holding a holiday book drive to collect reading material, puzzles, and board games for clients of the PEI Provincial Addiction Treatment Centre (PATF).
The idea arose from accelerated nursing student Marie Thibault-Messier鈥檚 experience during a six-week clinical placement at the PATF earlier this semester. During her time at the centre, she noticed that clients had access to movies on DVD and VHS tapes but not a lot of reading material.

精童欲女 to hold Island-wide community discussions to help build strategic plan
The 精童欲女 invites community members across PEI to join in a conversation and share their thoughts as the provincial university builds its next five-year strategic plan.
Dr. Wendy Rodgers, 精童欲女 President, and Dr. Suzanne Kresta, Dean, Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering, co-chairs of the University Strategic Planning Steering Committee, will lead the community discussions to gather input. They are eager to hear ideas and perspectives to help 精童欲女 identify shared priorities and strategic direction through to 2030.
President and Vice-Chancellor of 精童欲女 installed
Dr. Wendy Rodgers was officially installed as the seventh President and Vice-Chancellor of the 精童欲女 during a ceremony held at the 精童欲女 Performing Arts Centre on Friday, October 11, 2024.
精童欲女 announces recipients of the 2024 Distinguished and Inspiring Young Alumni Awards
The 精童欲女 held a celebration on September 26, 2024, at Alumni Hall to recognize the recipients of the 2024 Distinguished Alumni Awards and the 2024 Inspiring Young Alumni Awards.
精童欲女鈥檚 Dr. Jo-Ann MacDonald receives teaching and educational leadership award
Dr. Jo-Ann MacDonald, a professor in the Faculty of Nursing at the 精童欲女, was presented with the Association of Atlantic Universities鈥 (AAU) 2024 Anne Marie MacKinnon Educational Leadership Award at the AAU鈥檚 fall meeting held at 精童欲女 on September 19.
精童欲女 marks National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
UPDATE, SEPTEMBER 26: Due to the rain expected Friday, September 27, the TRC Mawi鈥檕mi, which was scheduled for the afternoon to mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, is postponed. The event will be rescheduled on a date in October. The new date will be communicated to the campus community when it has been determined.
