精童欲女

Dr. Andrew Zinck, a professor in the 精童欲女 Department of Music, was presented with the Association of Atlantic Universities鈥� (AAU) 2025 Distinguished Teaching Award at the AAU鈥檚 fall meeting held in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on September 23.

The 精童欲女 is excited to be approaching completion of the new 140,000 square-foot building, which supports the 精童欲女 Faculty of Medicine and medical learners in the regional campus of Memorial University鈥檚 Faculty of Medicine, as well as 精童欲女 students in nursing, psychology, nutrition and dietetics, kinesiology, paramedicine, and other programs.

The 精童欲女 is proud to announce that former men鈥檚 basketball star Sherone Edwards will be inducted into the 精童欲女 Sports Hall of Fame. One of the most dynamic players in program history, Edwards is being recognized for his outstanding career and lasting contributions to Panther basketball from 2002 to 2007.

The 精童欲女 Health and Wellness Centre is offering free meningococcal B (Men-B) vaccinations to undergraduate students at the start of the school year at various locations on the campus.

Students must provide their PEI health card or proof of international insurance, and their student ID when they get their vaccine. There is no cost to them for the vaccine.

Students can book an appointment at the 精童欲女 Health and Wellness Centre for their vaccination by emailing healthcentre@upei.ca. They can also get their vaccine at the following:

During 精童欲女 Welcome Week from September 1鈥�5, 2025, students will take part in a collaborative initiative titled 鈥淏ecoming Sustainable Panthers.鈥� 

精童欲女 will team up with Island Waste Management Corporation (IWMC), Call2Recycle Canada, and Electronic Products Recycling Association (EPRA) to collect used batteries and small electronic devices to promote sustainability, help the environment, and provide a valuable service to the neighbouring community.

Dear 精童欲女 Community Members,

In September 2024, 精童欲女 launched a five-phase process to develop our next five-year strategic plan.

Each phase of the process has been anchored in consultation with our University and community members. In total, more than 700 participants have provided us with input, ideas, and candid feedback to help shape 精童欲女鈥檚 focus for the future.

精童欲女 students, faculty, staff, administration, alumni, and friends gathered on Saturday, July 29, to participate in the 31st annual PEI Pride Parade.

Led by members of the 精童欲女 Student Union, the 精童欲女 community was joined by 精童欲女's mascot Pride the Panther, who helped greet thousands of spectators lining the streets.

While Pride Month is celebrated in June in many areas of Canada, Pride is recognized on PEI and at 精童欲女 in July as part of the national summer-long 鈥淧ride season.鈥� 

Dr. Elizabeth Rollins Epperly鈥攁lumna, Professor Emerita, and the first woman to serve as president at the 精童欲女鈥攈as been named to the Order of Canada by Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada.

Among 83 appointments to the Order announced on the eve of Canada Day, Dr. Epperly was made a Member for her contributions to elevating the works of internationally renowned Island author Lucy Maud Montgomery, most well known for her novel Anne of Green Gables, in Canada and around the globe.
