SchoolDude Update鈥擱oom Set Ups & Tear Downs
We no longer require you to submit a separate request for set ups and take downs. The next time you request a room set up, in the Request Description box, you will include the details for both the set-up and the tear down. We will look after it from there. To avoid confusion, please provide all details for the set up first, then in a second paragraph, the details for the tear down. If you have a diagram of the setup, go to Step 6 and attach it to the work order request. If you would like to cancel or amend your request, please e-mail Karl at fmworkorders@upei.ca and provide him with the work order number and the details.
As a reminder, when you book the room, you request at least 2 hours before your event for set up and 2 hours for tear down.(Please call us if you have a large set up so we can advise you as to how much time you will need to book.) If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us in Facilities for assistance.
Thank you,
Kathy MacKenzie

What is a Job Fact Sheet?
How do I create a Job Fact Sheet?
I have a Job Fact Sheet but it is out of date, what can I do?
If you have asked one of these questions, help has arrived.
The Human Resources Department will be offering training sessions on 鈥淗ow to Create a Job Fact Sheet鈥. One session will be held for managers and one for employees. Each session will be about 2鈥3 hours in length and will occur in the last week of April. Date and location to be confirmed (contingent on number of interested participants).
If you are interested in attending one of these sessions, please email or telephone Kathryn Harrison at kharrison@upei.ca or 566-0514.
At the next Research on Tap, join us for a discussion about how we choose
our literature. Dr. Shannon Murray, Professor of English at 精童欲女, will lead
a discussion entitled "We鈥檝e become adults who read children鈥檚 books.
What鈥檚 wrong with us?"
The event begins at 7 pm on Tuesday, April 2, at The Pourhouse, above The
Old Triangle Irish Alehouse in Charlottetown.
鈥'Harry Potter' was among the first YA series to develop an adult following,鈥
says Dr. Murray. 鈥淓ven then, I can remember people hiding their copy behind
a magazine. Today, people openly read 'The Hunger Games' or 'Twilight' without
batting an eye.鈥
Dr. Murray鈥檚 discussion will delve into the history of children鈥檚
literature, and how we have categorized (and sometimes marginalized) books
for children. She鈥檒l also bring examples of some of her favourite books
that can be enjoyed by kids and adults.
Research on Tap is a series of public discussions with 精童欲女 researchers.
For more information, contact Dave Atkinson at 620-5117, or
datkinson@upei.ca.
You are invited to attend a presentation that will help learn how to better
manage your time and combat stress.
This presentation is open to students, staff, and faculty.
It is being held Tuesday, April 2 at 12:30 in the Health Sciences Building, room 105.
All are welcome to this free event!
Brought to you by 精童欲女 Athletics & Recreation.
A reminder to staff & faculty to consider the 精童欲女 food bank located at the
Chaplaincy Centre for drop off of food items such as spaghetti noodles &
sauce, canned fish or meats, peanut butter, rice, crackers, cereal, etc.
There are many students who use the services of our food bank and
especially during these last few weeks of classes, the shelves are low and
the need is great!
